We’ve kicked off a major new project this week. We’re tasked with building a B2C offering for a company who previously has been B2B only.
Consequently, we are starting from scratch – going right from logo and brand positioning through to an e commerce and marketing website.
This kind of amazing start gives you the chance to plan and run a project in the way perfectionists like me approve of.
I found myself revisiting the wisdom of Jesse James Garrett and remembered just how far his ideas have permeated. His book ‘Elements of User Experience’ is a bible.
Anyway, a much exciting project with a relatively short deadline. Just how we like them!

I’m all kinds of excited about this one. At Tangent One, we created a series of ‘smart’ banners for our client Which? and they have had some great coverage.
The banners are the first of their kind. They appear on shopping sites such as ciao.co.uk and they respond to what content the user of the site is looking at. They then use the information they find on the page to return copy and graphics which are highly relevant to the user. a very fun project to be the producer on.
You can see the full articles on the eConsultancy, new media age and utalkmarketing sites.

i have just been to see the new decode exhibition at the v&a. this kind of art is close to my heart given the industry I work in and the show did not disappoint! really amazing.
i don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t been yet but wanted to post two of the images I captured. the fascination with weird self portraits continues…
the one on the left i was captured by ‘study for a mirror’ built by rAndom International and the one on the right by ‘venetian mirror’ created by fabrica
