My May wish list

This is highly optimistic given I’ve just got back from New York and I have to move house very soon but anyway…

Some super cool leather and neon nearly flat sandals from Bertie

A polka dot shirt from J.Crew

A gorgeous lilac silk tank from Madewell

A John Lewis Madison Leather Sofa

and a formica table like this one. Sigh.

All about J.Crew

I couldn’t really pretend that I wanted to go anywhere but J.Crew and Madewell whilst in New York recently. I like to stick to my rule of not buying anything on holiday that I could get back at home in London.

Luckily, they are almost next to each other on 5th Avenue. If J.Crew is the more formal, grown up brand then Madewell is it’s experimental and fashion driven little sister. I love both of their look books (linked above).

As part of the same parent group though, they do share great dedication to colour, simple basics, leather and denim that I love so much. I actually probably could have dropped a grand or more in J.Crew.

I restrained myself and went for a few carefully chosen items although I am really regretting not getting a striped shirt like the one right at the bottom. A cheeky post payday online order might be on the cards.

Two shirts in Neon Rose and Black Stripe

A bangle in Sweet Lemon

A popover shirt in Navy Stripe

March wish list

I’ve officially packed away the hardcore wool and thermals. I’ve pulled out and ironed the blouses, t-shirts and lightweight merino wool.

As is my way, I’ve been planning out some new strategic additions to my wardrobe –  all quite timeless and interchangeable with other pieces. I’ve also got a plan to remake an old peach coloured dress in to a midi skirt. Not quite sure how that will go but I’ll try.

I’ll hopefully get to work my way through this in the next few months…

Orange J.Crew 4″ chino shorts

Ponyskin leopard print ballet shoes from French Sole

A blonde ponyskin belt from Topshop

A striped navy and cream top like this one from J.Crew
