
so this photo looks like any random place in any wintery london park. except that this spot is one of my favourite places.
it was here in april, I reached a turning point and started to change things. in july I came back and sat under a massive umbrella during a summer downpour for at least an hour and made decisions about where to go next.
now the context has changed. i come back to mark time and feel the difference between this year and last. it’s blissful now.

a day late but anyway… you know when you get home from the pub and see a sunset like this that good things are gonna happen this year. what a beautiful sight.

this article, written by simon jenkins and published in the guardian yesterday, really sums up what I am too clumsy to express properly.
i get upset by people who rubbish my wonderful home town and i say so often that they see a different side of it to me. i find calm parks, amazing museums, unique food, an awesome mix of people and a world of opportunity.
it sounds kind of pretentious but i think this is true…
"a true city is a mirror, in which the blemishes are our own"
