marking progress

a shot of trees in regent's park

so this photo looks like any random place in any wintery london park. except that this spot is one of my favourite places.

it was here in april, I reached a turning point and started to change things. in july I came back and sat under a massive umbrella during a summer downpour for at least an hour and made decisions about where to go next.

now the context has changed. i come back to mark time and feel the difference between this year and last. it’s blissful now.

happy new year

a day late but anyway… you know when you get home from the pub and see a sunset like this that good things are gonna happen this year. what a beautiful sight.

beautiful london

this article, written by simon jenkins and published in the guardian yesterday, really sums up what I am too clumsy to express properly.

i get upset by people who rubbish my wonderful home town and i say so often that they see a different side of it to me. i find calm parks, amazing museums, unique food, an awesome mix of people and a world of opportunity.

it sounds kind of pretentious but i think this is true…
