March wish list

I’ve officially packed away the hardcore wool and thermals. I’ve pulled out and ironed the blouses, t-shirts and lightweight merino wool.

As is my way, I’ve been planning out some new strategic additions to my wardrobe –  all quite timeless and interchangeable with other pieces. I’ve also got a plan to remake an old peach coloured dress in to a midi skirt. Not quite sure how that will go but I’ll try.

I’ll hopefully get to work my way through this in the next few months…

Orange J.Crew 4″ chino shorts

The first flushes of Spring

Oh wow. The first spring style magazine editions are out. My February Vogue is full of pastels and gloriously light fabrics.

I’m getting the crazy inclination to spend my Christmas Topshop vouchers on really impractical items. As you can probably tell, I’m conveniently forgetting that we normally get snow in London in January and February. These gorgeous things just wouldn’t make it. Would it be wrong to buy them now and keep them for the Spring?

  1. The slippers. Tan is the colour to go with everything
  2. The dress
  3. The short suit. Amazing colour. A bit pointless…. I could never sit down on the tube but great for summer weddings.
  4. The calf length pleated skirt. Paired with…
  5. The striped top

Three’s a trend

Isn’t that what they say? Anyway, I buy a fair amount of shoes. The only think I have to say in my defence is that when I spend a decent amount of money on them, I wear them forever.

My favourite black flats were bought in Office back in 2002 and I still wear them at least once a week. I think the cost of re-healing them is now more than the shoes originally cost. But I love them so it totally doesn’t matter.

I have bought two new pairs of shoes in the last month and have been looking ahead to autumn… You know – when it rains so much cheap shoes get ruined and you spend your days trying to dry your feet out. So these ones cost a bit more, but I feel good about that.

I seem to have hit upon a favourite colour without realising. Lucky this kind of grey/beige neutral goes with everything, all year round hey?
