I Just Can’t Get Enough

I can hear the thoughts of the people who will mock me for this… but I still really like the Black Eyed Peas. Deal with it.

Christmas lights 1

I get all kinds of excited about Christmas and one of my favourite things are the amazingly pretty displays of fairy lights that pop up. I’d love to see them all year round but concede that they do make London especially pretty in months that can be quite dark and gloomy.

I’ve been taking photos all over town and will be uploading them as I go. I’ve even created a new ‘Lights’ category and started it off by moving a few old posts over.

I’m not sure anyone else will enjoy looking at them as much as I do but I’ll try none the less!

The first is on Watling Street in Moorgate. I love that the lights are hanging off the scafolding and that there are chandeliers to top it off. Strange but gorgeous.

Your Song

Elton John tracks have been played quite a lot lately no? This is the best cover I’ve heard in ages.

Ellie Goulding is going to be re-releasing her album Lights under the new name of Bright Lights on 29 November. This version of  Elton’s ‘Your Song’, which is out as a single now, will be a bonus track.
