I love london. this is where I grew up and where I feel at home. i love all of it – shops, galleries, restaurants, parks, the eccentric people, even the tube.
but what most people forget or don’t manage to see is that it is beautiful. I got sent this link yesterday (thank you btw) and the photos are gorgeous.
they are taken by jason hawkes, a uk based photographer that specialises in aerial photography. I find something new to love about this city every day. and I’ve lived here a while now…

this is one I didn’t think to try to capture before but it’s way too beautiful not to share.
the very first thing I do when it is raining and the sun comes out is to look the other way to find the rainbow.
I notice not a whole lot of people do this but I am always the one grinning like an idiot until the rainbow goes away or people start to stare at me.
a 180 degree view like this is not something you get to see all that often. must have been a lucky day.

I cannot wait to go to see this one. the first week has sold out already so it seems like I’m not alone.
the shows at the V&A I enjoy the most are the fashion ones. Throw in some couture gowns and photography and I’m in heaven.
i’m gearing up to make a new batch of dresses for the summer. a little bit of grace kelly chic would be a nice thing to work in to the mix if I can capture it.
